MR. WILLE'S * TWO CENTS' WORTH: 

"I can't tell you how excited I was when Karryssa won this year's scholarship.  I work with these students daily and get to know them quite well by June and let me tell you, Karryssa is ONE OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING STUDENTS  I've had in my twenty-three years of teaching. She almost always scored the highest on unit exams (she was once beat out by a student who will be attending Harvard in the fall!) and finished the year with a 100+% average.  As you may already know, she maintained a straight-A average all four years at Wilson and was one of our gold-robe wearing valedictorians.

But there is much more to Karryssa than a brilliant mind.  She was quite active on campus in a variety of service clubs, other students tell me she pushed the limits in her workouts for cross country and track, and she enjoys spending her free time horseback riding.  One of my favorite adjectives also describes Karryssa - unpretentious.  Always low-key and under the radar, she was never one for self-promotion, just quietly getting the job done with high quality above and beyond the call of duty.  Oh, and she has one more shining quality, her favorite food is ice cream!  What an outstanding young person.  Someday I hope to be as mature! "
