This year, we have decided again not to exchange gifts (still that no money/no credit cards thing) but instead, to renew our pledge to be good to others.  I would like us to each tell a favorite Christmas memory.  I remember when I was first given Christmas jammies, and I still love wearing them (they are a little snug, but still fit.)

THE CHRISTMAS JAMMIES

But I guess I would have to say a favorite memory was two years ago, when I got to go see that special Santa (who only visits with animals!)  It was such a wonderful outing, me and my human, just the two of us.

THE UNEXPECTED VISITOR

Well, except, there was a sudden big commotion, and what to my wondering eyes should appear but MIA the Yuckie Terrorist who showed up unexpectedly.  Still in all, it was a warm and fuzzy experience and a fun memory.

TRYING TO GET INTO THE SPIRIT

Well. I really loved the two years in a row we did Secret Santa gift exchanges.  I'll never forget how thrilled I was when Zippety gave me that cool catnip toy.  I played with that thing for a whole year, romping good times.  Then the following year when we learned about "re-gifting", I gave it to Munchkin and it still had a lot of good use ahead.

I remember once when someone left a melting dish of peppermint stick ice cream (my very favorite flavor, paws down) on the countertop.  I stealthily jumped up there and sooooo enjoyed it.  I don't believe anyone ever knew.  I am SO COOL.

I loved the gift exchanges too, especially when Silky gave me that security blanket.  And then Bob gave me the catnip toy the next time.  Life is good.  I am safe, I am loved.  Merry Christmas!

Ah, yes -- the gift exchanges!  Remember when Bob was worried that I had never taken a day off or really relaxed in a long time?  Being Head of Security on this page is a huge responsibility.  Anyway, he somehow got ahold of some doggie downers - you know, chill pills?  And I not only relaxed, but I slept thru almost all of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Then, the next year when we 'recycled', I gave the rest of the chill pills to Bob, who by then had pretty much worn himself out with the catnip toy.

MIA'S CHRISTMAS JAMMIES

I really love my Christmas jammies.  Zippety has some too and it's fun to wear them at the same time.  Now for a memory, have I ever told you how much fun it was that time I surprised Zippety, when she went to see Santa?  She was just speechless with happiness.  I love my family and I love Christmas.

TOULOUSE'S FURNITURE
I have only had one Christmas so far, so I guess my favorite memory would be that Christmas.  What a terrific gift I was given!  I don't know what you call it, some kind of a climb-up-on-sprawl-out-on-slip-and-slide-down-hide-under piece of furniture.  Just great for lurking and springing.  Caught Mia by surprise EVERY TIME!
