And the Wilson '63 45th
Reunion Weekend is OFF AND RUNNING!
The
first event was again organized by Dennie Hamilton King.

Dennie reports: "It was so successful when
we did this in 2003, we decided we had to do it again. It was a great turnout for our first event, approximately 85
people. Some people tried their hands at betting; like at the 40th, those classmates picking winning horses were given
little magnetic red and yellow blinky lights that Jeri donated. Many Bruins were seen happily blinking the night away."
Those who still had money after visiting the betting
window enjoyed no-host dinner & beverages. It was a beautiful evening in more ways than one. Part of
Dennie's negotiations with LARC included the privilege of naming a race in honor of our class (the committee settled on "Wilson
Alumni'63 - Still Horsin' Around" ) and letting five members of our group go with Dennie to the Winner's Circle to be
photographed with the horse and jockey.
We extended that invitation to a select group of those who had traveled
the farthest for the reunion (in the picture below, from left: Dennie, Marta (aka Judi) Inanchy from Texas, John Graham
(Oregon), Billie Goehrig Palmer (England), Evelyn Goehrig Wanner (Pennsylvania), and Bill Tobin (Connecticut) -winners all!
That horse, Dashin' Banjo, was highly honored to be in their presence.
