2012 WINNER, LEGACY OF '63 AWARD:
JONATHAN MURRIETTA

When Mr. Wille called to announce this year's winner, he said, "You're gonna love this kid."

Jonathan has many talents - Not only was he one of the valedictorians chosen to speak at graduation, but a member of the Varsity Tennis team, a promising thespian, and a young man very active in his church and politics.

He quickly wrote to our reunion committee to express his appreciation for the scholarship:

"It is a great privilege to be the recipient of this scholarship, and I want to especially thank Mr. Wille for recommending me to receive such an honor.  No doubt it will come to good use, as college is not cheap these days!  My family and I are deeply appreciative of any financial help that goes toward paying for my education.

The performing arts has always been a passion of mine, and Lord willing, my successes in high school will translate to college as I will be pursuing my B.A. in Theatre at California State University, Long Beach.  Along the way, I look forward to representing the Class of '63 with dignity, honor, and grace!"
