To the
Class of '63 ~
First off, thank you so much for your time and the honor you have given me. I actually missed
my own graduation because I was competing at Youth Rowing Nationals, so I don't have pictures from the actual graduation
but I am sending one where I am in my cap and gown.
As for my college plans, in the fall I will be attending Stanford University.
I have been recruited to Stanford for their lightweight rowing team. I am a four year varsity rower and was privileged to
be Team Captain this year. I have 6 national titles and three national bronze medals in rowing.
I love to dance and was able to choreograph a dance for the Wilson dance
show touching on suicide prevention. I also co-choreographed a dance depicting the battle against cancer dedicated to and
performed for a childhood friend of mine who had bone cancer when she was only 15. As for my major, I am currently
undeclared and am very excited to take classes that will further broaden my knowledge and understanding of the opportunities
available. I am looking into sports psychology as to help athletes with the mentality behind sports.
Again
... THANK YOU!
