CONGRATULATIONS, FRIDA !
2016 WINNER, LEGACY OF '63 AWARD: FRIDA SALGADO
Class of 1963, It was with great surprise and gratitude that I received the Legacy of '63 Scholarship.
I appreciate the time and effort put into this award, so I will make sure to take full advantage of it. I will
be using this scholarship to help me pay for tuition at UC Santa Cruz, where I will be studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental
Biology. From a young age, I have been interested in the medical field so I hope to attend medical school after undergrad. I have been fortunate enough to receive this scholarship which is a push toward
reaching my goals. As a doctor I hope to travel the world helping those who do not have access to medical care. Until
then, it is my wish to meet the charming people behind this award. It has been a privilege to win this scholarship, which
will reduce the financial burden of a college education, and increase my chances of success. Thank you again for this wonderful gift, and I wish you all the best. It
has been an honor to win this scholarship and I will make sure to represent this title with dignity and righteousness. Thank you,
