Dear Class of '63 ~
Thank you so much for choosing me for The
Legacy of 1963 recognition and scholarship award. I was so thrilled to learn about receiving this honor!
I plan to use this scholarship toward my tuition at the University
of California Santa Cruz where I plan to major in Film and Media Design. Another interest I want to pursue while at UC Santa
Cruz is to possibly volunteer at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center. Recently I worked with the Aquarium of the Pacific
and the Los Angeles Zoo to make a documentary about the endangered Guam Kingfisher and the California Condor. I hope
to continue to combine my Film and Media studies with my interest in marine science.
I feel so fortunate to receive this assistance and am very grateful to
the Class of 1963 for their generosity.
