FOUR
BUDS - THROUGH THE AGES Who
knew ? - Boys can be Besties Too! The recent passing of Dave (aka Roy) Sievers prompted
Mike Morrissey to go through his pictures and submit this photo collection showing the story of a very close party of
four, who have enjoyed and supported each other through the years. Although "Roy" was unable to
come from Texas for the 50th, pals
Mike, Dave Downing and John Comings turned out in full force. It seems appropriate to include all the pictures here.

TRAVELIN MAN
John Mauger reports that he celebrated his 60th birthday by traveling almost
non-stop, starting with his 59th birthday in October of 2004. He left for a week each in Maui (Mardi Gras of the Pacific),
then a week each in SF, wine country, Las Vegas,a dude ranch in AZ ..he kept this up for a whole year (with brief trips back
home and a little surgery for a broken wrist) - FLorida Keys, 3 weeks in Europe, Tahoe, Carson City, Mexico,(sportsfishing.) And on and on. So
John finally put his pictures where his mouth is ...

WENDY ARCHER'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE |
|
This picture is me with my host mother and father. The dress was a gift
made for me in a traditional style out of Mandela print fabric. Fun to see that Carolyn was also in Africa and kudos
to her for getting to the top of Kilimanjaro! .... Wendy Archer

HORSE RIDE
At age 60 years and 4 months, I rode my Missouri Foxtrotter,
Copper, with my horse club. We rode from Campo, California to Julian, California on the 135 mile trail in six and a
half days.

A HORSE IS A HORSE .... HOWEVER .... |
Editorial Error. When Stan reported his adventure with
Copper, we assumed the horse pictured with him to be that very one. We have now received clarification from Copper himself,
on a very clever sheet of personalized horsey note paper entitled "Horsesheet". We apologize for
the error, Copper. You too, Stan.

Now that I am no longer 60 (5-17-45), I'm finally getting around
to sending you this. I spent my 60th in South Africa where I was working in schools as a Peace Corps Volunteer, living
for 2 years in a Setswana village with a family.
Bill Tobin's Grand Tour
Wow! What can I say? African Peace Corps, Mt. Climbing,
Jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, hot air balloons??? I thought I was adventurous when I managed, without injuring
myself, to climb out of a bed in a hotel room.
Mavis and I were very lucky to be able to spend more than a month touring the
UK, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Gilbraltar. I'm actually looking forward to year 61! The 60th was the
hard one.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET 16 !
This group of friends just breezed through that big
60th birthday last year, and have now decided to exercise the Birthday Dyslexia Option. They all look forward to turning
16 this year, and 26 next year, etc. Any questions? No? OK.
