WHERE THERE'S A WILL, THERE'S .... OUR BILL
After training for many months, Bill Cheney made good on his
promise to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Walk. "I made it. Nike Women’s Marathon was all it was supposed to be. It
was hilly. It was chilly. The pasta
dinner was amazing. The Marathon was awesome.
And I covered the Half Marathon in 4 hours, 2 minutes and 33 seconds, as 10,650th out of 20,000, but who’s
counting.... Okay, that is the Reader’s Digest version. " He adds, "Every time
I didn’t want to get up on Saturday morning or go out in the evening I thought of the commitment I made to you and our
honored teammates and survivors, and the shoes came on easier and door opened wider.
The road did not look like that much of challenge when I thought of what Alyssa and Juli and their families have to
face daily. They are the real heroes."

My 60th birthday was very tame at San Diego Wild Animal Park
with friends. My 55th was the big blow-out when I went up in an aerobatic biplane. Here
is a picture of the plane up over the ocean (out of Dillingham Field on the north shore of Oahu), and a picture of Jerry and
the pilot smiling afterward.
Our Travelin' Man, John Mauger, wisely chose to exericse
the Birthday Dyslexia Option in October, so instead of turning 62, spent his 26th birthday driving the Sand Highway
in Pismo Beach.
