"The Afterglow" I'd like
the memory of me To be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow Of smiles when life is done. I'd like
to leave an echo Whispering softly down the ways, Of happy time and laughing times And bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, To dry before the sun Of happy memories that I leave When life is
done. "Author Unknown"
TRIBUTE TO A TRUE BRUIN
A very special thank you to Kathy
Nott Coulombe for representing our classmates in our shared sorrow over the passing of Bill Tobin. Kathy chose to make
the trip (from Massachusetts to Connecticut) to attend Bill's memorial on January 8, and arranged to have flowers -- red &
gold, naturally -- and a banner delivered, on behalf of our class. This
was a most fitting gesture and ironically reminiscent of something Bill himself might have done. Kathy wrote "The
banner across the arrangement stood out and many of Bill's friends and family remarked about how nice it was that Bill's high
school class remembered him in such a special way. Mavis, too, was very appreciative that the class sent such a beautiful
arrangement, and thanked Roger and me profusely for coming to express our condolences personally, and on behalf of our class." For those who may need to smile through a few tears, be sure to visit the
45th reunion "Out-Fakes" (playful pictures) page to see Bill in his official Wilson 'mug-shot.' He truly was a
poster child for the Class of '63. http://www.wilson63.com/id122.html. He was very amused by this at the time, and it demonstrates well his good sportsmanship and warm sense of humor.

When Judy Omohundro McGregor's twins were
born in 1975, she asked her closest friends to be the Godmothers. Pat Shelley filled that role for Scott, and Jeri Hemphill
(me) for Chris. We lost Judy in 1998 to cancer, after a very brief but brave battle. On March 31st, 2012, Chris
McGregor married Tammy Benson (at, what else, a petting zoo!) and both Godmoms were there to stand in for the twins' beloved
mother. Pat came down from Sacramento. This is the first picture of all of us together in 36 years, since
we were photographed on the church steps after the baptism. Judy's presence was felt by all of us.

Story
I have attached two pictures of Bob
from our daughters wedding. As I mentioned, I am also from Wilson, Class of '65. We met in high school in 1962 and were
together ever since. I love the website ... High School had a lot of wonderful memories for both of us, since
we fell in love there.

A LIFE LONG FRIEND, WHO SHARED MANY
HAPPY MEMORIES, OF OUR YOUTH, OUR MARRIAGES, OUR CHILDREN, AND OUR DAILY LIVES , LONG AFTER HIGH SCHOOL ENDED.
TO HER FRIENDS SHE WAS INSPIRATION, AND COURAGE, BOTH INTERTWINED . TO SOME SHE WAS SHARON, AND
TO OTHERS SHE WAS "SHERRY", BUT TO ALL OF US WHO KNEW HER, SHE WILL BE REMEMBERED IN
OUR HEARTS AS A SPECIAL FRIEND NOT EVER TO BE FORGOTTEN.....
